Sardine Spread

I’m a big fan of sardines! They are similar to Herrings and quite healthy. Sardines are very high in Omega-3s, which support cardiovascular health. This is a perfect appetizer to pair with some sparkling wine.


  • 1 can of sardines
  • 15 g cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 shallot
  • zests of half a lime


  • Puree the sardines, cream cheese ans olive oil in a blender.
  • Peel the shallot, chop it into little pieces and add them to the sardines.t
  • Wonderful as a bruchetta or bread spread. Season to taste with lime zests. 


With one tin sardines you can make 20 to 25 small canapΓ©s. Sardines are very salty so you don’t have to add extra salt.Β
