I’m a big fan of sardines! They are similar to Herrings and quite healthy. Sardines are very high in Omega-3s, which support cardiovascular health. This is a perfect appetizer to pair with some sparkling wine.
- 1 can of sardines
- 15 g cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 shallot
- zests of half a lime
Puree the sardines, cream cheese ans olive oil in a blender.
Peel the shallot, chop it into little pieces and add them to the sardines.t
Wonderful as a bruchetta or bread spread. Season to taste with lime zests.
With one tin sardines you can make 20 to 25 small canapés. Sardines are very salty so you don’t have to add extra salt.
